SYFA-USA DONOR BILL OF RIGHTS
The Board of Directors of Save Your Future Association – United States of America, SYFA-USA, has enacted the following policy to ensure SYFA-USA merits the respect, trust and confidence of the general public, donors and prospective donors whom we ask for support, we declare the general public and all donors have these rights:
To be informed of the organization’s Mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes. The organization’s Mission Statement shall be posted on the SYFA-USA.org web-site for public review.
To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities. The list of Board Members and their qualifications shall be posted on the SYFA-USA.org web-site for public review along with contact information.
To have access to the organization’s most recent financial statements which shall be posted on the SYFA-USA.org web-site for public review.
To be assured their gifts will be used for the only for purposes for which they were given and reasonable financial practices shall be employed to safeguard funds and written accounting of donations and expenditures will be is made available to donors.
To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition at the time of a donation and as projects are completed.
To be assured information about donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality beyond the extent provided by law.
To expect all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature and SYFA-USA will conduct all of its business in an ethical manner and in compliance with all local, state and Federal laws.
To be informed all seeking SYFA-USA donations are volunteers and SYFA-USA has no employees nor do we hire professional fund raisers or solicitors.
To be confident names on the SYFA-USA mailing lists are kept confidential and used only for the purposes of keeping donors and volunteers informed of the progress and events associated within SYFA-USA. SYFA-USA will not transfer any name, partial or full list to any third party under any circumstance.
To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers. For this purpose contact information of each member of the Board of Directors is posted on the SYFA-USA.org web-site for public use in seeking clarification.
